Hluhluwe Imfolozi National Park
Visit St. Lucia and spot The Big Five the next day? Then Afrikaans Safari recommends Hluhluwe Imfolozi National Park. Unfortunately, the park is difficylt to visit on a self-drive. The roads are rougher here than in the Kruger National Park, for example. With a safari organized by one of our partners, you can enjoy a beautiful safari without any worries! Hluhluwe imfolozi is known for the rhinoceroses with their large horns. These are of course extra well protected because of the poaching. There are also groups of lions that climb trees. This is fairly unusual behavior. It is not self-evident that the other lions in parks also show this behavior.
The park is located in KwaZulu-Natal about an hour's drive from St. Lucia. This safari is therefore easy to combine with the Isimangaliso Wetland Park.
